What Happened with AJ Storr
AJ Storr officially entered the transfer portal today after what Iβm Hearing was a brief but serious negotiation with the Jayhawks.
Storr was interested in returning to Kansas, so the two sides explored it over the last few days.
I'm Hearing Storr wanted his NIL number to be larger than it was last season. I believe KU wanted to pay him less than his previous number and refused to budge.
Ultimately, the two sides couldn't agree (not sure they were close) and Storr hit the portal.
It's hard to fault the staff here. Storr had the worst adjusted on/off margin of any rotational KU player this year (-11.2 points per 100 possessions when on vs. off court, per evanmiya.com).
The back and forth is over now. Storr will explore his options on the open market.
Current Look at the Roster
The Jayhawks now officially return 0 minutes from scholarship players last season. Here's the current roster:
Darryn Peterson
Elmarko Jackson
Jamari McDowell
Samis Calderon
Bryson Tiller (seems to be settled in)
9 open scholarship spots (I think theyβd fill 8 and be fine)

Darryn Peterson had dunks Nos. 4 and 5 in quick succession. This is dunk No. 5.

Darryn Peterson looked like the best prospect in high school basketball at the McDonald's All-American game, dropping 18 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in 24 minutes. The Kansas-bound combo is a two-way guard with tremendous shot-creation and shot-making prowess.
