AJ Storr Commits to Kansas 🚨

The Jayhawks landed one of the biggest names in The Portal in Wisconsin transfer AJ Storr. Storr is a 6’7” wing who initially explored the NBA Draft process before committing to KU.

Storr was second-team All-B1G for Wisconsin this year, averaging 16.8 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting 32% from three.

I said this before, but his shooting numbers are a bit misleading. Storr had the No. 18 highest % of shots taken by a player this season, according to Kenpom. He was asked to do more for UW’s offense than he would at KU.

While KU has added an elite shooter in Zeke Mayo (and is after another in Rylan Griffen), Storr is the kind of player who can go get his own bucket.

I shared these Storr updates with VIP subscribers all along. I made a VIP recruitment prediction about another player yesterday as well. You can get upgraded here.

Storr scored 16, 30, 20, and 24 in the B1G Tourney for Wisconsin this year. He dropped 28 in back-to-back games for the Badgers this year.

Given Bill Self’s history with NBA Caliber wings… yeah, this is a big time add for the Jayhawks.

Watch this dunk below. He’s gonna be fun.

All eyes now turn to Alabama transfer Rylan Griffen. I’ve heard he’ll be in town this weekend for his initial visit — and it’s clear this is one to watch closely.

I’ve Heard the Storr commitment should not impact anything with Griffen’s recruitment. I think we’ll know soon if Griffen will be a Jayhawk.

Griffen sharp-shooting wing who is an immediate fit for this year’s roster. He shot 39% from three in Alabama’s fast-paced offense.

I still believe KU is interested in Dayton transfer Koby Brea. Someone will have to leave in order for KU to land the wing… I think it’s too early to know exactly how this plays out. I’m not sure KU knows yet, either.

You can read what I wrote about Brea from Wednesday’s newsletter here.

The other piece to watch… I’ve Heard KU is hosting 2025’s No. 1 PG in Darius Acuff this weekend. This will be Acuff’s second trip to KU in as many months.

The Jayhawks have a huge ~10 days ahead.
