Border War Date Set 📆

I am Hearing we have a date locked in for the 2023 Border War.

The Jayhawks will host Missouri on December 9 in Allen Fieldhouse this year. The Dec. 9 meeting is currently the last scheduled KU-Mizzou game in Allen Fieldhouse.

The schedule remains on track with the original announcement in which KU was set to host this season after playing on the road last year. Next year’s game is supposed to be at Mizzou Arena (or whatever they call it) with the final two meetings scheduled at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.

The schedule currently looks like this:

• @KU in 2023 (December 9)

• @Mizzou in 2024

• KC in 2025

• KC in 2026

I would assume the rivalry gets extended, but I don’t have any Hearings for that right now.

The Jayhawks have won the first two meetings of the renewed series by a combined score of 197-132.

Mackenzie Mgbako Decision Coming Friday

I have no reason to change my prediction for Mgbako. I still believe he will be a Jayhawk when he announces on Friday.

I’d put the odds at 95% for Kansas. The last 5% is saved for last-minute recruiting shenanigans, which can always happen. It looks really good, y’all.

I’ll do some lineup predictions if he does land with KU on Friday.
