To start us offā€¦

šŸ€šŸˆ My KU podcast ā€œCould Be Wrongā€ will be live on YouTube tonight around 9:30pm CT breaking it all down.

šŸ€ Florida transfer Riley Kugel wonā€™t be making it to Kansas after all.Ā Iā€™ve been mentioning this possibility to VIP subscribers for weeks. Iā€™ll spell this out in a separate newsletter soon.

šŸˆ Kansas football landed a commitment from transfer TE Leyton Cure. His brother happens to be a top 30 player in the 2025 class.

šŸ€Ā Colorado hired Danny Manning as an assistant coach. Heā€™ll be back in the Big 12.

Letā€™s Talk About It: Kansas and the SEC

On Wednesday night, college football realignment YouTuber Greg Fluguarā€™s show was called ā€˜Kansas Receiving Another Look.ā€™

In short, Fluguar said KU has a decent shot with the SEC if it expands to 20 teams.

Iā€™ve Heard some similar chatter myself. But like he said, nothing is certain and nothing is #imminent.

  • Who is Greg Fluguar? Fluguar says he is a nobody who knows a somebody. The Los Angeles Times profiled him as the first person to call USCā€™s move to the B1G.

    • Heā€™s been talking realignment and the future of college football on YouTube ever since.

  • What did he say? He said, ā€˜Kansas is very much in the gameā€™ if the SEC expands to 20 teams. He also said the value of basketball is expected to increase over time.

    • Fluguar added that some schools familiar with KU want the Jayhawks in the conference once realignment time comes.

    • But thereā€™s a lot more to it, which Fluguar explains over the two-hour show.

    • I saw KU fans sharing the news on Twitter like this is some kind of foregone conclusion, which isnā€™t what Fluguar was saying.

I believe the idea is legitimate ā€” but a lot of things have to shake out right. So, yes, itā€™s possible. But itā€™s nothing more than possible right now.

And KU fans need to SHOW UP for football.

Iā€™ll get into the details of what Iā€™m Hearing about all of this below. For now, itā€™ll be VIP only. I will share these thoughts more broadly when the time is right.
