🏀🏈 Mass St. NIL announced an event at Johnny’s Tavern. Travis Goff and Lance Leipold are the guest speakers. This is the most affordable NIL event I’ve seen. You can check it out the tickets here.

🏀Watch Johnny Furphy hit a dagger three in the last 20 seconds for the Pacers. He had 18 points and 8 rebounds. You can see his highlights here.

🏈 Jason Bean was selected No. 1 overall by the Memphis Showboats in the UFL Draft. Just sayin.. we live in a world where KU’s backup QB was drafted before Notre Dame’s starter.

Getting Hot in Allen Fieldhouse 🔥

Kansas announced three-time Grammy winner Nelly will perform at Late Night in the Phog on October 18.

It’ll be the 40th-annual Late Night.

Nelly is one of the best-selling rappers of all time. The St. Louis native will bring hits like “Hot in Herre,” “Ride Wit Me” and “Air Force Ones” to The Fieldhouse.

(He was also featured on a song with the greatest Late Night performer of all-time Snoop Dogg).

I’ve Heard Nelly has been in the conversation about performing at Late Night in past years. I think he’s been on KU’s shortlist for a while.

Mike’s Take:

Nelly is a good get for Late Night. He can entertain a wide age range with hits that current students and alumns should recognize.

Late Night is primarily a recruiting event at this point. If the crowd is engaged through the scrimmage and beyond, then it’s a successful night for KU.

Grade Nelly as a Late Night Performer
